Next Elevator Pitch Criteria Relaxed - Application And Voting Period Extended To April 27

The start-up format of the NEXT Conference 2011, the NEXT Elevator Pitch, has reached the final spurt: Exciting start-ups can still apply online until April 27. The NEXT Community along with the 12-member jury (including The Next Women COO Joana Picq) will choose the 12 best business ideas who will present themselves to the audience and the jury at NEXT11.
In order to give all exciting projects a chance, for those whom the initial application criteria were too strict, the criteria for participation have been relaxed: The projects of applicants can now be up to three years old and projects which are already funded will now be considered. At NEXT11 a launch must take place (whether it is a start-up, product or service). New founders can submit their applications on this pageuntil April 27; they can do this themselves or be proposed by a third party. At the same time, voting will take place on the platform to find the initial 30 best ideas.

A 12-member jury consisting of Ola Ahlvarsson (Result), Marco Brries (NumberFour AG), Mike Butcher (TechCrunch), Alexander von Frankenberg (High-Tech Grnderfonds), Maks Giordano (juumanokudo), Stefan Glnzer (White Bear Yard), Olaf Jacobi (Target Partners), Christoph Rthke (Founder Institute), Reshma Sohoni (Seedcamp), Joana Picq (The Next Women), Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten (The Next Web) and Sarik Weber (Hanse Ventures) will chose the 12 founders who will present themselves at NEXT11 on May 17 at STATION-Berlin.

The winners will receive a personal coaching workshop from Hanse Ventures and a scholarship for a semester at Berlin Founder Institute, with a total worth of 6,000 Euro. In addition, the NEXT11 offers start-ups special conditions to be present at the NEXT exhibition.
