Simon Cowell may not be able to reach her but Cheryl Cole's believed to be holed up in a North London flat with her mum Joan after her axe from The X Factor US last week.

Cheryl, 27, was expected to accept a role on the UK series but last night Tulisa Contostavlos, 22, and Kelly Rowland, 30, were confirmed as the new female judges alongside Louis Walsh, 58, and Gary Barlow, 40.

Instead of watching Simon, 51, on the first semi-final of Britain's Got Talent 2011 on Sunday night, Cheryl was on her laptop surfing the web.

'Cheryl spent most of the evening checking out possible holiday destinations,' a source tells The Sun.

'She can't wait to get as far away from all this attention as possible and was eyeing up destinations in the middle of nowhere.'

And surrounded by friends and family, the Girls Aloud star is feeling upbeat.

A close relative exclusively tells Now: ?Cheryl's a fighter and she's going to bounce back.

'She's got a fantastically successful career back here and she's already been inundated with offers.
