Britain's entrepreneurial, ahem, elite have once again been whittled down to a final 16 to face the biggest challenge of their careers: winning over Lord Alan Sugar.
This year The Apprentice has a twist - rather than a job working for Alan, the winner will instead receive a �250,000 investment ?to kick-start their own business.
The candidates are, as always, under the strict scrutiny of Nick Hewer and Karren Brady as they attempt to bitch and backstab their way to the top.
The first episode kicks off with each team given �250 to invest in fresh fruit and veg in a battle to make the highest return.
As the contestants are picked off one by one, they'll face a variety of tasks, from designing a mobile phone application to creating a new pet food, launching a magazine and transforming rubbish into money.
